• National Summer Learning Association–The national organization that promotes enriching summer learning programs can provide resources to help launch programs.
• BELL Summer–Building Educated Leaders for Life Summer Learning Program is an enrichment program that primarily focuses on summer learning loss among children of color from low-income backgrounds.
• Horizons National–This national network uses partnerships with private school and college campuses to provide summer programs for low-income children at no cost to the school district or city.

Parent Engagement:

• Reading Rockets has a great set of Reading Tip Sheets for Parents that are used by many GLR communities. The reading tip sheets are available in English and Spanish. There are seven individual one page tip sheets for parents of babies, toddlers, PreK, K, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3. These are also available in Arabic, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Hmong, Korean, Navajo, Russian, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. Reading Rockets has one page tip sheets for parents of children in Grades K-3.
• The Center on School, Family and Community Partnerships at Johns Hopkins University does research and policy analysis on ways to help parents, educators, and communities improve schools, strengthen families, and enhance student learning and development.
• America’s Promise Alliance has created a toolkit for boosting parent engagement as a dropout prevention measure. The toolkit includes informational resources, a webinar, and information on recruiting and organizing parents.
• Families in Schools engages families and communities in assuring student success.
  • Abriendo Puertas, a school readiness program from Families in Schools, strengthens the leadership and advocacy skills of parents with children ages 0 to 5.
• The National Network of Partnership Schools at Johns Hopkins University brings together schools, districts, and states that are committed to developing and maintaining comprehensive school-family-community partnerships.
• National PTA is an association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities. The parental involvement section of their website provides information on how to build successful partnerships, standards for parental involvement, and other resources.
• Sesame Workshop, which produces local Sesame Street programs viewed worldwide, also creates education media that helps children and families develop early literacy and other life skills.
• Talaris Institute/Parenting Counts offers research-based tools produced by the Talaris Institute to support parents and caregivers in raising socially and emotionally healthy children.
